He and driver Trevor Smith are looking to make it four straight OSS victories, and five consecutive wins overall, on Saturday (Sept. 6) as Scioto hosts three $50,000 divisions in the fifth leg for freshman colt pacers.

Ready Russell has had an impressive start to his racing career. Outside of a rough showing in the Ohio State Fair Stakes, he’s done nothing but win, scoring five victories in six seasonal starts. With a victory in each of the first four legs of the Ohio Sires Stakes on his resume, the Ready For Moni gelding has proven to be a top contender among freshman colt trotters.

After a somewhat inauspicious start to the season, Pet Project is on a roll. The Pet Rock gelding out of Igottafeelinfran finished fifth in his debut purse start on June 28 and third in the opening leg of the Ohio Sires Stakes at MGM Northfield Park. But it’s been nothing but wins ever since for the homebred.

Having celebrated their first birthday earlier this year, twin trotting fillies Jurassic Venus and Jurassic Serena continue to defy the odds.
