Charity Night at the Races
Our 2025 Charity Night Events were held April 27 2025 at Miami Valley Gaming and Racing and December 6 2025 at Dayton Raceway.
Ohio Horsemen Give Back
Ohio's Harness Horsemen have donated nearly $680,000 to local charities since 2017
Each year Ohio Horsemen give back by hosting Charity Night. Up to twenty charities are invited during the year to participate as honorary owners of a standardbred racehorse. Each charity receives a donation based upon their horse's official order of finish. The charities enjoy a complimentary dinner, rides in the starting gate, and a visit to their horse in the paddock before the race. The charities often have a chance to provide information about their misson via broadast interviews and ultimately cheer their horse on during the race from the winner's circle.
