Luna, Alagna Sweep Fourth Leg of OSS for Sophomore Colt Pacers at Northfield

Driver Marvin Luna and trainer Tony Alagna teamed to win both $75,000 divisions of the fourth leg of the Ohio Sires Stakes for sophomore colt pacers at Northfield Park Racino on Monday (July 6).

Luna drove Alagna trainee Myboypank to victory in 1:52.2 in the first division. It was the second OSS win of the season for the Catch The Fire gelding, who also took a victory in the second leg at Eldorado Scioto Downs on May 25 in a lifetime mark of 1:50. Myboypank won Monday’s race by a neck over Tsunami Seas (Brett Miller) with When Is Parade (Tyler Smith) finishing third. Owned by Samuel Bowie, Myboypank has hit the board in six of seven seasonal starts with four wins. He has six victories and $101,070 in earnings in 11 lifetime starts.

Up In Place won the second division of the OSS for sophomore colt pacers on Monday with Luna in the sulky for Alagna and owners John Barnard and Alagna Racing. The Lather Up colt tripped the wire in 1:53.1, winning by one and three-quarters lengths. Rock Son (Dan Noble) and Pet Project (Trevor Smith) rounded out the top three. Up In Place is a perfect 5-for-5 this season, including three OSS wins, with $111,250 in earnings. He recorded his lifetime mark of 1:50.4 in the second leg of the OSS and has six wins and $154,675 in earnings in 13 career starts.

Celebrating its 50th season in 2026, the Ohio Sires Stakes continues Saturday, July 11, with the first leg for 2-year-old colt and filly trotters at Eldorado Scioto Downs.
