United States Harness Writer's Association: Ohio Chapter

Hoffman hoffman.communications@yahoo.com Secretary-Treasurer: Jay Wolf wolfie70@verizon.net	The Ohio chapter of the U.S. Harness Writers Association consists of individuals involved in harness racing at various levels in Ohio. The chapter is open to new members who then also become members of the national organization. USHWA was formed in New York in 1947 and the Ohio chapter was later formed because of the widespread interest in harness racing in the Buckeye State. Members of the Ohio chapter honor outstanding people and horses associated with harness racing in the state by voting for members of the Ohio Harness Racing Hall of Fame as well as honors such as the Rambling Willie Award, the Winner’s Circle Award, the Rising Star, the Standardbred Hall of Fame, and Immortals. Members of the Ohio chapter of USHWA also vote to determine the Ohio Horse of the Year.
