Stahl wins 2,000th

 Ryan Stahl picked up his 2,000 career driving win when he piloted Iknowwhatboyslike to victory in the third race Saturday at Northfield for Wayne and Frances Bell.

Later, Stahl piloted Diamond Hunter ($5.00) to an impressive win in Saturday's $6,000 Open Trot in 1:57.4. The Jeff Cox -trainee led throughout. Extreme Makeover was second and Carolina Raider took home show money.

Diamond Hunter, a son of Fortune Five Hundred owned by Sherre Cox and Richard McNutt, was returning to the races off a two-month freshening.

A Bell trotter posted an impressive mile later on the card when Son Of A Spur capitalized on blistering fractions of 27.3, 56.1 and 1:26.4 to win a $4,400 conditioned trot in 1:57.3, lowering his lifetime mark by nearly three seconds.

Elliott Deaton drove the four-year-old Pegasus Spur gelding Deaton, Stahl and Aaron Merriman each posted driving doubles, whil Dan Charlino had a four-bagger Staurday.
