Painted Speed Continues His Northfield Domination

Painted Speed won his fourth straight Northfiield Open Pace Saturday, taking the lead from Lite Me Up just after the 27.4 opening quarter and controlling tempo from there to post his 6th win in 15 seasonal starts for The Speed of Light Stable, the nom de course of owner Todd Liebman.
Ryan Angus trains Painted Speed, who hit the half in 56.2 and cruised home to win in 1:55 over a Good track. Lite Me Up finished second and the mare Robinmeblind took home show money.
Painted Speed, a six-year-old Real Artist gelding, has earned $81,702 in his career. |
